A few weeks back, I went to a friend's house for a scrapbooking party. (Remember the totally cute "Simply Adorable" layouts?) She served hummus. I have always been intrigued by hummus, but not really brave enough to try it. Well, the truth is that I don't really run with the "hummus crowd". We are more the "chips and dip" variety. I tasted Sarah's hummus and decided to try to make some myself.
The next morning, I pulled out the can of garbanzo beans that had been sitting in my pantry for years and found a hummus recipe on allrecipes.com. I whipped up a batch of hummus and fed it to my children.
Grant loved it! Cole wanted me to spoon-feed him the stuff. Hee hee!
Since that initial launch into the hummus world, I have made hummus 4 times. Last night, I made it for Mitch. He loved it.
10 years ago, I would not have guessed that I would be feeding my family hummus, but here I am!
(So, why did I post this little tid-bit? I just like to say "hummus", even if I am just talking to myself!)
